Easter Celebration 4/8/2012

 CM Easter Bible Quiz  .

4/9/2012

We had about 80 children attending the Children's Church today. En talked to them about the two men that met Jesus on their way to Emmaus. When they arrived at Emmaus, their eyes were opened to realize that it was the resurrected Jesus that was with them all along. Although they had walked for a half day to Emmaus, they decided to just walk back to Jerusalem, abandoning their original purpose of going to Emmaus, because they have found the most important purpose for their lives: to tell the good news about Jesus. May we all become clearer with God's purpose in our lives through the 40 Days of Purpose program!

2nd-5th Graders did 20-question Bible Quiz in order to earn 10 Easter eggs. Each question comes with a Bible verse reference, so if the children didn't know the answers they can look them up in the Bible. It was amazing to see how they took it seriously and were busy flipping their Bibles for about 30 minutes trying to answer all questions! You can see their satisfied faces when they got all 20 correct, and earned their eggs. Some of the fifth graders went around helping the 2nd graders to open and read their Bible! That was another heartwarming sight that they were taking the opportunity to serve others. K-1st Graders did a simple word search puzzle and a small Easter egg hunt in E4. Preschool Class also had a hunt in their class room E1. We served a special treat (ice cream and cookies) to the children to celebrate Easter today!
