ANGEL LEADING

      The church in the downtown area that we used in the past was no longer available, and so we had to have a place of our own.

       I had been praying about this for the longest time. One day Albert and I drove to  Long Beach in Los Angeles to transport a vanload of food to be distributed to the homeless in downtown. While driving in the freeway, a great light shone upon us, this light was so brilliant and intense that it blocked out everything else and I saw nothing but a blank wall right before me.

       I was so fearful that it might cause an accident, because there was a lot of traffic in the freeway. So I prayed: “Lord, if the light is from You, please move it to the side, so I can see what is ahead.” Then the light glided to my side, to my utter amazement, it was a gigantic angel standing beside me with opened wings, just like a huge bird.

       He wore something like a crystal-like glistening white robe, I had never seen an angel before, only from pictures and heard through testimonies, people had seen angels but not me. I always thought that angels are invisible. I was scared, didn’t know what he was going to do. I wept and prayed in tongue. The angel was walking beside our van, I did not know where he was leading us and my heart was racing. Our van was running side by side with the angel, going in the direction of the downtown area, finally the angel disappeared at the exit.

       Our vehicle stopped at the 5^th Street and refused to move on. Albert did not stepped on the brake, instead he kept on stepping on the gas with all his might, but the van remained unmoved. As I was wondering what was happening, the Lord said to me in an audible voice: “This is my “New Center”.

        I looked ahead, in front of us was a run-down storage house standing in the midst of a vacant lot with a huge heap of garbage and waste, it was extremely stinky. In the middle of the lot was a sign “For Sale”. I said to the Lord: “Lord, Why did You sent an angel to lead us to this stinky place? And you called this the “New Center”! How can we have church meetings here?”

       God told me that He is a recycling Expert, I am also a Recycle Lady. This set me into thinking: “Was I not as foul and gross as this garbage dump before. But God had chosen me to do many things for Him. In the same way, He can also convert this nasty place into a beautiful church.

        However, another thought came into my mind:  Downtown LA is a commercial center, the properties here are exceedingly expensive. Where would I get the money to pay for it? Besides, the lot is huge! At this point, the Lord instructed me to call quickly. I did not bring my cell phone with me, so I used a public phone and called, the owner was a Chinese, and I asked whether or not the storage house was for sale. She said yes, and I asked for the selling price, her reply was $1,200,000. I said: “What! Such a polluted garbage site for this price?

        She said: “This location is very expensive!” I asked if I could come over and discussed this matter with her, she said yes. She told me her office was just around the corner.
