The Development forum for Yunnan to be an international information and communication hub facing south and southeast Asia opened in Kunming this morning, attracting hundreds of information officials and business representatives from China and ASEAN countries.

Yunnan vice governor Dong Hua, vice minister of Chinese Industry and Information Technology Liu Lihua, vice director of Yunnan provincial communications authority Xiang Jian, Academician of China Academy of Engineering Liu Yunjie, managing director of Thail TRUE company, other Chinese business representatives delivered speeches at the forum.

The speeches were followed by signing ceremonies between Chinese companies and their foreign counterparts, as well as a joint Kunming declaration.
