Why Did God Choose Maria to Give Birth to His Son?

Luke 1:26-38

Key: Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered.

“May it be to me as you have said”. Then the angel left her.

Most people drink tea after meal, some tea test good, but some are not so good, depend on the tea pot; therefore, people changed the way to make the tea pots now. I heard something about the tea pot with the wood holder to heat is much testier than the tea used the gas to make tea, because they have different test. For example, the chapter 18 of Jeremiah said about the instrument of making the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the LORD came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah耶利米書18:4-6匠用泥做的器皿，在他手中做壞了，他又用這泥另做別的器皿。匠看怎樣好，就怎樣做。耶和華的話就臨到我說：以色列家啊，我待你們，豈不能照這匠弄泥嗎？以色列家啊，泥在窰匠的手中怎樣，你們在我的手中也怎樣。’

We are as the instrument of God. Each day the pot must keep 1, 200 degree for that pot to have better test. The one used by God has a special process. Just like the pot was made of the special soil that test is better than others.

Why Maria has the highly favored of the Lord? Maria was only 18-year-old, who was very afraid of what Angela told her; just as we were afraid of our Pastor order us to do service or performances next week, we may say, ‘Oh! Not me’.

Maria always thinking about the Lord, she was not perfect, she has the character as us, but why God chose her? Luke 1:37-38 said, “For nothing is impossible with God.” “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.”God has the almighty power to help Maria, her character as follows:

1. Maria has a hope to follow the Lord.

We maybe work according to our wish, but now Maria is obeying the order of the Supreme Being, Ruler; her obedient bring reward and honor to the glory of God. For example, Jonah, he loves God, he obeyed God; Peter went fishing all night but got nothing in his net; later because his obedience; finally, he got a number of fish.

2. Maria has a big decision to do what God wanted her to do, she must pay responsibilities. There is no special thing to us. For example even the Son of God, Jesus carried the cross for us; He carried the people of the World. Maria became the instrument of the Lord.

o Our celebration of Christmas for us is that each week we go to church to experience “LOVE”each day, you believe Him and you will have His present all the time, you have the piece of joy in your heart that is true that you are celebrating of Christmas in daily bases.

o We do not use the frame to limit our life; we must go over that frame with no limitation, because God is giving us the Love of no limitation. Maria obeys at the beginning, until the end of the day, when they hang up Jesus, She said, He is worthy. 祂是配得的.

o No matter what happened to us, we still are living out a testimony for God as Apostle Paul did.

3. Maria was very brave to accept this miracle, because she believed what the scripture mentioned, so she said, “How will this be,…I am a virgin” (Luke 1:34).

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; so the holy one to be born will be called [Or so the child to be born will be called holy,] the Son of God.

o God sent an angel to us, too. When we saw someone cared about us, loved us that is the Love of God wanted to show you. Can we be an instrument to share others? Maria showed the sharing of the Lord.

o There was a man who was making bell to church; later, he could not make, so he took an apple to church; each person put gift under the Christmas tree, there was a man asked him why you did not put the best for Christmas, now you still did not bring the best one. But Maria pick the apple up, she is the channel of love, even a little apple showed the Love. Maria is also a regular lady but she loves the Lord so much, we can do so.

POINT:

Thanks Lord, for sending His Son, Jesus came to the world and died for our sins. Thanks Lord for chosen Maria became a Channel of Love, so we can follow their steps. Oh! Lord, please help me to become a person that you want me to be; I want to be a chosen person by the Supreme Being, Ruler as Maria did.
