前言PREFACE: 今天的課程，說耶穌有權柄和大能力勝過黑暗的力量。上週課程專注於耶穌的權柄和憐憫。這兩種特性再次於此課顯現。Today’s
lesson is about Jesus who has the authority and great power to overcome the
power of darkness. Last week’s session focused on Jesus’ authority and
compassion.
Both of these characteristics are at work again in
this lesson.

examine how a demon-possessed man was a true outcast: From totally unclean, out
of his mind, living among the dead, and completely helpless; yet, Jesus healed him with ease.

耶穌遇見被鬼附身的人Jesus Encounters
the Possessed: 經文
Scriptures reading: 路加Luke 8: 26-28, 他們到了格拉森人的地方、就是加利利的對面。耶穌上了岸、就有城裡一個被鬼附著的人、迎面而來、這個人許久不穿衣服、不住房子、只住在墳塋裡。他見了耶穌、就俯伏在他面前、大聲喊叫、說、至高 神的兒子耶穌、我與你有甚麼相干．求你不要叫我受苦。
Luke 8: 26-28, They sailed to the region of
the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee. When Jesus stepped
ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this
man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. When
he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his
voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God ? I beg
you, don't torture me!"

V.26, 格拉森地區是加利利海東南一個外邦地區、或稱為十城、這些是受希臘文化影響的自製城市。猶太教認為豬是不潔之物、故不養豬、外邦人卻沒有這個禁忌。The region of the Gerasenes was a
Gentile region southeast of Sea of Galilee, home of the Decapolis, or the Ten
Cities. These were Greek cities that belonged to no country and were
self-governing. Although Jews would not have raised pigs because the Jewish
religion labeled them unclean, the Gentiles had no such aversion.
V.27, 28, 這些鬼立刻就認識耶穌來了。鬼知道耶穌是誰、以及耶穌之大能。鬼是撒旦差來的、他們有能力做破壞性的事情。今天他們很活耀、時刻破壞神和人的關係、信徒應該知道真有鬼和被鬼附身的事情。但我們不可因好奇而涉入其中 (參申18:10-12)。只要我們抵擋魔鬼、他便會離我們而去的 (參雅4:7)。
These demons recognized Jesus and his authority immediately. They knew
who Jesus was and what his great power could do to them. Demons are Satan’s
messengers, are powerful and destructive. Still active today, they attempt to
distort and destroy people’s relationship with God. Demons and demon-possession
are real. It is vital that believers recognize the power of Satan and his
demons, but we shouldn’t let curiosity lead us to get involved with demonic
forces (Deuteronomy
18:10-12). Demons are powerless against those who trust in Jesus. If we
resist the devil, he will leave us alone (James 4:7).

是因耶穌曾吩咐污鬼從那人身上出來．原來這鬼屢次抓住他、他常被人看守、又被鐵鍊和腳鐐捆鎖、他竟把鎖鍊掙斷、被鬼趕到曠野去。那穌問他說、你名叫甚麼．他說、我名叫群．這是因為附著他的鬼多。鬼就央求耶穌、不要吩咐他們到無底坑裡去。
For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to
come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained
hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been
driven by the demon into solitary places.
Jesus asked him, "What is your
name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into
him. And they begged him repeatedly
not to order them to go into the Abyss.

這鬼名叫 “群”．“群”是羅馬最大的軍隊 , 有3,000 至
6,000 士兵們. 是說這人不只被一個鬼附身而是被很多鬼附身的。
The demons begged Jesus to spare them from the Abyss, which is also
mentioned in Revelation 9:1 and 20:1-3 as the place of confinement for Satan
and his messengers. The demons, of course, knew all about this place of
confinement, and they didn’t want to go there. The demon’s name was Legion. A
legion was the largest unit in the Roman army, having between 3,000 and 6,000 soldiers. The man was possessed by not
one, but many demons.
3. 社區反影響Community Reaction經文 Scriptures reading: 路加Luke 8: 32-39, 那裡有一大群豬、在山上喫食．鬼央求耶穌、准他們進入豬裡去．耶穌准了他們。鬼就從那人出來、進入豬裡去．於是那群豬闖下山崖、投在湖裡淹死了。放豬的看見這事就逃跑了、去告訴城裡和鄉下的人。眾人出來要看是甚麼事．到了耶穌那裡、看見鬼所離開的那人、坐在耶穌腳前、穿著衣服、心裡明白過來、他們就害怕。看見這事的、便將被鬼附著的人怎麼得救、告訴他們。格拉森四圍的人、因為害怕得很、都求耶穌離開他們．耶穌就上船回去了。鬼所離開的那人、懇求和耶穌同在．耶穌卻打發他回去、說、你回家去、傳說 神為你作了何等大的事．他就去滿城裡傳揚耶穌為他作了何等大的事。
A large herd of pigs was feeding there on
the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and he gave
them permission. When the demons came out of the man,
they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the
lake and was drowned. When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they
ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out
to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom
the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind;
and they were afraid. Those who had seen it told the people how the
demon-possessed man had been cured.
Then all the people of the region of the
Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So
he got into the boat and left. The man from whom the demons had gone out begged
to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, "Return home and tell how
much God has done for you." So the man went away and told all over town
how much Jesus had done for him.

V. 33, 耶穌為何只治好被鬼附身的人? 而不乾脆把這些鬼消滅或趕到無底坑去呢?

Why didn’t Jesus just destroy these demons-or send them to the Abyss? *(Abyss
in the New Testament usually indicates the place where the devil and demons are
to be confined until the day of judgment (Revelation 9:11;

為何耶穌不把這些鬼消滅或趕到無底坑去呢?
因為這工作之時候未到 , 耶穌作醫治工作比較重要很多被鬼附身的人, 所以未消滅他們。在今日同樣的問題 – 為何耶穌不除去在世界上之所有魔鬼呢?
因時候未到 , 但時候將會來到的。在聖經啟示錄上記載描寫耶穌將勝過撒旦、魔鬼、和所有的邪惡。
Why didn’t Jesus just destroy these demons
or send them to the Abyss? Because the time for such work had not yet come. He
healed many people of the destructive effects of demon-possession, but he did
not yet destroy demons. The same question could be asked today –
Why doesn’t Jesus stop all the evil in the
world? His time for that has not yet come. But it will come. The book of
Revelation portrays the future victory of Jesus over Satan, his demons, and all
evil.
V. 33-37, 惡鬼毀滅了豬群 , 使放豬的人損失了財產。不過豬和錢財可以和人的生命相比嗎? 有人從魔鬼的權力底下得了自由
, 但是村民只是掛念自己錢包 ,
人們往往看自己的利益比別人的需要更重要。人類歷史上的無數次戰爭 , 有不少是因經濟利益而發動的。不論在哪裡 , 不公平和壓迫往往都是因追求財富而引起 , 也不斷有許多人因為金錢而被犧牲掉了。想想看!
您的決策是否影響別人呢 ? 您是否寧願選取一種比較簡樸的生活也不要從別人身上圖利呢 ? The demons destroyed the pigs, which
hurt the finances of those tending the pigs, but can pigs and money compare
with a human life? A man had been freed from the devil’s power, but the people
thought only about their livestock. People have always tended to value
financial gain above needy people. Throughout history, most wars have been
fought to protect economic interests. Much injustice and oppression, both at
home and abroad, is the direct result of some individual’s or company’s urge to
get rich. People are continually being sacrificed to the god of money. Don’t think more highly of “pigs” than of the people. Think carefully about how your decisions will affect
other human beings and be willing to choose a simpler life-style if it will
keep other people from being harmed.
V. 38,39, 一般情況下 , 耶穌都吩咐被治好的人不要張揚被治好的事 , 不過他吩咐這個人回到他的家人那裏
, 告訴家人神為他做何事? 1) 耶穌知道 , 對於那些知道那人從前情況的人來說 , 他是個有力量的見證人
, 能為這神蹟做見證。
2) 耶穌希望
, 藉這人把信息帶到外邦的人地區 , 以便擴展他的工作。
3) 耶穌知道
, 外幫人並不期待彌賽亞來臨 , 所以他們不會擁立他為王
, 改變耶穌的計畫。當神介入您的生命後 , 不要害怕與家人和 朋友分享您奇妙的經歷。
Often Jesus
asked those he healed to be quiet about the healing, but he urged this man to
return to his family and tell them what God had done for him. Why?
1) Jesus
knew the man would be an effective witness to those who knew his previous
condition and could attest to the miraculous healing.
2) Jesus
wanted to expand his ministry by introducing his message into this Gentile
area.
3) Jesus
knew that the Gentiles, since they were not expecting a Messiah, would not
divert his ministry by trying to crown him king.
When God touches
your life, don’t be afraid to share the wonderful events with your family and
friends.

: THINK ABOUT: 耶穌冒險到不乾淨之地方去做工．是因上帝對那被鬼附身的人有計畫解救他的生命好可服務神之國度。

Jesus was willing to take a risk, even
becoming ‘unclean’, God had a plan for the redeemed life of the demon-possessed
man, He has a place in the kingdom for everyone, no matter how lost they may
be. Their lives can be redeemed; restored, healed, and used for service in the
kingdom.
Question and ask
for the LORD to help you, “In what areas of your life do you need to experience
the power of God?”
Ask Him to give
you wisdom to know what you need!
