Short trips have become very popular during the three-day Duanwu Festival holiday that started on Thursday, and people are enjoying the fun of Chinese folk culture by participating in traditional activities in some nearby summer resorts and scenic spots. At Qihua Mountain in Tengchong City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, vervains were in full bloom in the 33-hectare field, with the purple flower sea attracting about 600 to 700 visitors every day since the opening of the scenic spot on March 25.
