Fluffy ducks draw customers to pet-themed cafe in Guangzhou
Fluffy ducks draw customers to pet-themed cafe in Guangzhou

A duck-themed cafe in southern China is attracting hordes of patrons with its lovely snow-white pet ducks, which can provide entertaining companionship to animal lovers of all ages.
For 45 yuan (6.6 U.S. dollars), customers can spend up to 90 minutes with the fluffy call ducks, a domesticated breed imported from Europe, in the coffeehouse located in Guangzhou, the capital city of south China's Guangdong Province.
"This is the first time I've been so close to a duck. It's a novel experience for me. I feel a bit afraid, too, because I don't know if it will bite me," said a customer in the "Call Duck" cafe, which houses more than a dozen of the pet ducks.
Some parents say the place offers a rare opportunity for children to spend time with the animals in an urban setting.
"We live in a big city, which means we can rarely see them. I'm here together with my daughter. She is fond of animals," said a parent.
While the adorable ducks are the star attractions in the cafe, it also offers a variety of drinks for patrons to choose from.
