Preface: Session Truth by Bill Manning, he said that sinrobs us of the rich relationship we were created to have with God, others, andcreation. Adam and Eve were blaming and shaming that facing the consequences;Life in the Garden of Eden must have been wonderful, yet Adam and Eve gave itup for a moment of ill-considered gratification and disobedience to God broughta severe penalty. This week's lesson exposes "The Destructive Effects of Sin"
Scripture Reading³Ð¥@¬öGenesis 3:1-9
A. Look Where You Are: ¬Ýªü §A¦b¨º¨à?Genesis 3:1-9
The sin ofAdam and Eve disobedience to God that they havedone what God has expressly forbidden, they cannot bring themselves to faceHim. They were made to live in God's presence, but now they are fleeing fromHim in fear. All that they find in theirhiding place is darkness, fear and fig leaves to cover themselves, but it isimpossible to hide from God.
God was drawn toAdam and Eve not by a desire to punish them, nor by a need for satisfaction, but by love. This same God sees us, and knows us, and loves us. And He comes toour hiding places too.
Why should Godcry out such words, "Where are you (v. 9)?" if God knows everything? Becausethisquestion is not spoken for God's benefit but it was spoken for the benefitof Adam and Eve; when God asked them, "Where are you?" He was saying, "Lookwhere you are! See where your sins have brought you." That question to faceup that had been brought on by their sins.
B. Whatis This You Have Done? §A§@ªº¬O¬Æ»ò¨Æ©O? Genesis 3:10-13
Adam was pointinghis finger at Eve and saying, "It was her fault!" 3:12.
To Eve the Lord said, "Whatis this you have done?" (3:13). AndEve followed the example set by Adam. She said, "The serpent deceived me, and Iate" (3:13b).
Instead ofadmitting her guilt, she blamed the serpent for what she had done. Allof us have had the painful experience of being unjustly shamed.
C. Facing the Consequences Genesis 3:14-24 §A¬J§@¤F³o¨Æ¡B´N¥²¨ü©G¶A¡B
Because You Have Done This:
When Satan spoke to Eve through the serpent, he said, "You will not certainly die" (Genesis 3:4), for God's judgment against Adam and Eve was the certainty of death (3:19b). It was Jesus who said, "When [the devil] lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44).
In the Garden of Eden, God announced that a day will come when the offspring of woman will crush the serpent's head (Genesis 3:15). This is a promise of Christ's ultimate victory over Satan. Until that day comes, Satan remains our enemy. He continues to lie and tempt humans to think that their way is better than God's. The willfulness that rejects God's way is the very essence of sin, and sin always has consequences.
As a consequence of her rebellion, the woman would experience anguish in bearing and raising children. Sin would distort and impair her relationship with her husband (3:16). God told Adam that because of his sin, his toil to work the land and produce food would be very difficult, and death would be unavoidable (3:17-19).
God is the initiator³Ð©l¥D. He knows everything about us and still loves us. God gave Adam and Eve a second chance. The same gracious love by which He saved Adam and Eve. "Give thanks to the Lord for he is love and never give up!

SUGGESTIONS:
1. Read 1st Corinthians 10:12, "if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don''t fall! ©Ò¥H¦Û¤v¥H¬°¯¸±o꺡B¶·nÂÔ·V¡B§K±o¶^Ë¡C13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. §AÌ©Ò¹J¨£ªº¸Õ±´¡BµL«D¬O¤H©Ò¯à¨üªº¡B¯«¬O«H¹êªº¡B¥²¤£¥s§Ąü¸Õ±´¹L©ó©Ò¯à¨üªº¡D¦b¨ü¸Õ±´ªº®ÉÔ¡BÁ`nµ¹§A̶}¤@±ø¥X¸ô¡B¥s§A̯à§Ô¨ü±o¦í¡C"
