CRRS USA sent 2 teams: Dr. Melvin Wong, Chair of Board of Directors, Dr. Reuben Chen, Dr. Lawrence Fung, Mr. David Pang and Ms Susan Chen delivered a check for US$69,100 (RMB 464,000) to Consulate General of PRC in San Francisco; Dr. Yau Kwan Ho, Director and Chair of Executive Committee, Mr. Peter Ng, Mrs Florence Mak, Ms Michelle Yuen and Ms Cindy Kwok delivered a check for US$61,300 (RMB 403,000) to Consulate General of PRC in Los Angeles, requesting the Consul General of both Consulates to forward the amounts to Ministries of Foreign Affairs of PRC to distribute the amounts to Jinping County and Malipo County in Yunnan for sponsorship of underprivileged students and teachers so that they can finish their studies to improve their lives and economic environment.  Part of the amount is also used to improve the schools built by CRRS.

 

We were well received by both Consulates.  They appreciated the contribution of CRRS USA and donors.
